SWRC Chonda Class?

Post by Bill Choice » Fri Dec 18, 2009 11:04 pm

There was discussion tonight about adding the Chonda to the class list for the SWRC next year. Rodney says there are a bunch of people building them at his track and Yaani-Mai from NTK says they are building them there too! I have forwarded our rules to all the SWRC folks and hopefully they will adopt them for the series. We may have to change some gearing for the other tracks, but it would be a blast going to other tracks with the GCKI Chonda Crew! I'll keep you posted on the progress!

It is official, the Chonda class is now part of the SWRC. I hear there are folks building them at MSR, Denton, and Norman. I predict it will be one of the biggest and most competitive classes this year. There are a few rule changes for the SWRC. The minimum age is 15, front driver gear is unrestricted, and fuel must be purchased from a single gas station to be announced before each race. This should be a great class and we will host the first event May 1-2!
