Harbor Freight discontinuing blue motor

The manager from Harbor told me the blue motor will be replaced with the Predator (black motor) and the blues will be on clearance soon..

I have called the 290 HF and they don't know anything about the Blue being discontinued. But they also said they didn't know everything. I will check into this further...

If it is true, then we better start buying some backup engines to at least make it through the year. The Black engines will be different and are 212cc vs. 196cc for the Blue.

I was told this at the Sugarland location, but who's to say he knows what he was talking about!! But I do know this, thet are taking pre-orders on the black engine and I can't see Harbor stocking two different engine lines.

I just saw in my wife's Fingerhut catalog a motor called a Blue Max that looks very much like the Greyhound. Gas tank and air filter look different but the rest of the pic looks the same. Bad thing is it goes for $199.
