Water pump froze up, took it apart, looks like freakin skate bearings in side but not sealed and rusted/frozen....seems like "sealed" skate bearings would be a easy upgrade...anyone have any experience rebuilding these water pumps? Don't see any cheap rebuild kits online....

Re: Freeline Water Pump Rebuild
In case anyone is looking for an answer...I was told this past weekend that the bearings are in fact the type you can get at Academy....ABEC 9 858 Spped Bearings....and The Shaft Seal appears to be available through Fastech (still waiting for it to come in to verify) or at Houston bearing....I was also told the key to proper reassembly is to lube the shaft seal properly before reassembly to prevent leakage....difficult to explain in writing...but lube the center area that will be in contact with the bearings....do not use silicone....
Another tip was to just buy a different type water pump, aluminum ones are cheaper than the OEN Nylon I have (half the price)....as the water pump is not a tech item....
