Re: Tire rules for Texas Prokart Challenge
The rules state that SKUSA classes (which I believe includes TaG) require new tires each day but Rotax it is optional for Sunday. I'm not worried about drop off, rather I'm not excited about the additional cost. Brad, I think it would help out tremendously if we could run MG-Whites for club racing! ...

Tire rules for Texas Prokart Challenge
In going through the rules for the TPKC I noticed that new tires are required each day. http://www.texasprokartchallenge.com/index.php/component/com_rokecwid/Itemid,514/view,ecwid/ I'm a little shocked (some of this is likely from me being a novice) at this especially after the "Cost Saving Initiati...

Anyone know a good welder?
One on my seat struts needs welded. Does anyone know of a good weld shop or welder? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Or does 3G do welding?
Thanks!
Patrick
Thanks!

Flag rules?
Given the re-iteration of the importance of the flags after the TaG final yesterday I went to the various rules sections and I couldn't find anything as to what the specific flags mean for GCKI? I don't know if I was an offender or not (my sincere apologies if I was) but would like to brush up on wh...

Leopard questions
I've recently changed from a Rotax to a Leopard motor and had a few questions (one Leopard related and the other rain related): 1) Do you run an air filter inside your air box? If not, do you put one in if it rains? My gut tells me that any schmutz (technical term for dirt and debris and any small a...

I've been at 3G a number of times this past week as I mounted up my new motor. Thanks to AB for all of his help and assistance in making sure I had a successful first day with the motor! He also gave me plenty of pointers on how to avoid some common issues. As I was checking out AB mentioned a produ...

Re: Tires??
Phillip, I hope to see you out there! I just started racing last fall and am having an absolute blast even if I am a back marker. ;) The TaG Masters spec tire for 2012 are MG Yellows. If you are running the Rotax class (I run a Rotax but compete in the TaG Masters class) then you'll need to check th...

Re: Purpose of changing tire brand each year?
When can we expect to hear what the spec tire will be for next year?

Re: Purpose of changing tire brand each year?
What is the "economic benefit to the club"? Sponsorship money for races? From the racers perspective I would think we would want to stick with whatever tire is the same as, or closest to, the SKUSA spec for the class? Being a Rotax owner I would be all for Mojo as well but I'm in the minority and ru...

Purpose of changing tire brand each year?
As a newbie to racing I'm curious as to the purpose/intent of changing to a different tire? Is there an actual economic benefit to the club or the racers? Or is it simply to throw in a variable to play with each year? I don't have a strong opinion or thoughts on this one and am simply curious. Thank...

Re: Lets Race TAG
I just wanted to thank everyone for encouraging me to race last Sunday and who helped me out at the track! I had an absolute blast and everyone's assistance made for a great experience and I look forward to the next race. Even though everyone in the TaG Masters class (BTW-what a great group of peopl...

Re: Lets Race TAG
Thank you for the comforting responses! If all goes well (and the "boss" approves) I'll be entered in the next race!

Re: Lets Race TAG
As a newbie to this forum as well as GCKI I'll throw in my two cents: My biggest issue with racing, as opposed to just doing hot laps, is my fear of accidentally hitting someone. I'm not worried about whether I'm fast or not, or if I break down or not, or even the cost... I'm worried that my lack of...
