Re: Club Meeting and Work Day
I'll be out in the morning and am happy to help with the counter re-build or any other stuff that can be done in the AM. I've got to leave Katy by about 1:15, though. I'll plan to bring some tools, a cordless drill... can bring saws if need be. Let me know. Mike--if it's not too late to get in on th...

2009 Schedule
Am I missing something or is the "new" GCKI schedule now in direct conflict with two SWRC races: April and May?
GT is psyched for this weekend.

We need fencing supplies. Does someone have that covered or should I go buy some stakes and wire rolls Friday PM?

Winter Dash for Cash
Kudos to John and Marcia Bartos and everyone else for a great event yesterday. The weather didn't cooperate, but it was a good event, well run, and I think everyone had a good time. Of course, MONDAY was beautiful!

Rotax Micro Max
Anyone know if/when official GCKI rules be out for this class? Can we rely on the national rules per Rotax Max Challenge site at: http://rmaxchallenge.com/page.cfm?content=19 ?? I contacted a builder who was confused over the 950mm chassis size. I'm looking at used vs. new--but there aren't many Mic...

State of the Track 9/20
GT and I were out early this morning to practice and the track was VERY, VERY dusty. So much so that he was putting up rooster tails of dust as he went down the main straight. I'm sure it will clean up as more karts make the circuit. There was also a pile of sand at the apex of the turn before the p...

Kid Karts 9/21 and Tires
I'm hoping to see everyone out and that everyone's recovering from Ike. Our plan is to get GT back out for his first race in months this weekend--it's been too long. Question: Anyone have a good technique/tool for mounting tires? I have a jig to hold the wheel and can get a tire off, but for the lif...

Lights. Yes. That would rock. 8) At A&M they call them "Two Percenters"--those who aren't full on crazy Aggies (I'm married to one). I am unabashedly a 2% member at Katy--but that does not mean I don't love the track or want to see improvements. I have an insane job with lots of travel, a family, ag...
