Re: Rotax vs Leopard in the TAG Senior Class
My 2 boys run Rotax and in order to get local punches to be eligible for the Rotax US Grand Nats Event certain Rotax sanctioned club races require us to follow Rotax rules. But that's not to say you can't run locally and possibly run on MG Yellows but that is best answered by Rick Miller Katy's Tech...

Re: Rotax vs Leopard in the TAG Senior Class
The speed differentiation this year has more to do with the tires than anything else. Last year at Katy, when the TaGs were on Bridgestones the Rotax's on Mojos were pretty equal, this year with the TaGs going to MG Yellows it has provided for a greater advantage for the TaGs. Enginewise they are bo...

Raceday Timelines
Are there any discussions around making better use of the hours in the day during a GCKI race day? A normal race day now seems to be approaching a 12 hour timeline when you factor in: > Race day events seem to be pushing 5-6 hours of official activity > Factor in most arrive mid morning adds 3 hours...

Re: Michael Ilavia Takes 6th at Rotax Nationals
Thanks Dave! The week was awesome! The level of competition and racing was 2nd to none and know that the Texas contingent performed well all week long. From Micro to DD2 we all held our own on and off the track which was very impressive. I think I speak for all of us Texas boys when I say a special ...

Re: Pit work..... track availability
So why not think of removing the west runner or really just transferring the location of that runner to the wes side of the property? Cost I understand is a factor but so is aquiring land which is really the only other alternative to addressing our space limitations today. We have a great track and ...

Re: Pit work..... track availability
Brad, It's tough to explain but where the standing water is today along the west side of the property, if we could install culverts and then grate and fill in the dirt over the culverts we could then cement a runner on top of that. That is my thought, again hard to explain and dont think i am doing ...

Re: Pit work..... track availability
Bryan, Thanks for the info and it will be awesome when the improvements are completed and the work that you and others have done is appreciated more than you know. As we are in the middle of making and planning for these improvements now I think is the perfect time to review the issue of space limit...

Re: Pit work..... track availability
Bill,
You mention the West End of the property being PHASE 2 is there a planned approach for PHASE 2?

Re: Number of Laps
No bait Bill, just funny to see how worked up everyone is getting over nothing. With work being so hectic lately I have had little chance to get online and review and initially thought the thread was in jest, however, when it became clear it was serious I laughed out loud. The Race Director is just ...

Re: Number of Laps
Wow! Mr Hewitt you seem spot on, so much agression, so much passion, this Chonda thing just might be the worm-hole in the universe to real racing...hmmm NOT! Actually speaking from the amateur ranks maybe we could keep the Chonda laps to a minimum until we "Spring the Clocks Forward" to ensure there...
