good question... kim :D

but i was always told i get a half a go kart leadway on the start,
i forgot who told me that...

but kim i did learn one thing here in texas,, here goes..

#1 always jump the start..
#2 if the guy next to you ( off pole on the starts ) goes faster, then you
go faster but dont go over 50mph on the starts..
#3 if the guy beats ou into turn one take him out..
#4 if the guy beats you in turn one then dive bomb him in turn #2
get up on his bumper and take his pipe out..
#5 if he tries to pass you down the straight just drive in the middle..
i know there is more than #5 but i figured i would be nice

yes there are differences from texas to cali and vegas...
i like more of the professional way myself.. :P

Well since I have been in Texas I found 95% of all the Texans I have met are really great people and truly love karting and some are REALLY good drivers.
I also have to say Texas parents with kids in cadet and kid karts are far better than anything we ever had in Cali, they still know its for fun!!

What Texas needs is stronger people in the leadership role as track owners and promoters and kart shops. The last thing Texas karting needs is one track fighting the other tracks for bodies or butts in seats to cover their bottom line. Texas has a small market and they keep trying to divide the pie into smaller and smaller pieces instead of trying to grow the market. I think if they had more uniform set of rules on tires and classes, and rules for racing it would be a good start. The SWRC is a good start, they just need to work as one sanctioning body and not one track against the other. I could go on and on, but this is not the time or place.

Dario one more thing, you said " but kim i did learn one thing here in texas,, Then you listed 5 things.. Please your making us west coast people look like we can't count LOL

Kim
