What will the kart weights be with the different slide colours?

I think those of us who would like to see the LO206 brought in to the 2015 season need to get together and determine this. We might be best suited looking at clubs currently running LO 206 and use their weight breaks as an initial baseline and make adjustments as the class progresses. I personally would like to see the masters\senior class with no slide around 375 Minimum. Again, just my opinion and this is based on what they are running at 2D2W.

Rick,

Here's a link to the NOLA rule set. This seems to be working very well for them and they have a relatively large kart count running LO206. http://www.nolamotor.com/Media/2014bookleFinal.pdf

We are new to karting so I'm still trying to figure some things out. I see in the Briggs junior class my son's kart needs to be 300 lbs. Unfortunately (or fortunately for our grocery bill), my son only weighs 52 lbs. at age 12. This means I need to add about 71 lbs. to his kart to get him up to weight. I can't imagine that is normal and I don't really want to add that much weight to the frame and seat. Is there a different class option I'm missing? - thanks.

Travis,

Are you running a full size chassis or a cadet chassis? If a cadet chassis (smaller with the front and rear tires being the same) the weight is 250lbs; however, if you a running a full size chassis the weight is 300lbs. I have seen karts with lead hanging off every square inch and watched it slowly go away as the kid grows.
