Has anyone used Dashware to put data-overlay on GoPro videos? I have to admit that I'm spoiled in my car and use an AIM Solo DL with a smartycam so it does it automatically but I'd like to find something that is easy to use for doing data overlay. Any thoughts are welcome.

Re: Dashware
Hi John,
I recently purchased the full version of RaceRender for my 2 GoPros and G2X data acq. It will sync multiple cameras and data. I have not yet been successful at getting both of my cameras to sync to the GoPro remote AND get good data, but that's user error. can't get good results when youre not set up right. (in my defense, the cameras work great in the paddock before the race, but then something almost always goes wrong while i'm in grid!)
a couple videos with me goofing around with the software- I have not made a serious attempt at good video because of the aforementioned tech issues.
forward camera and data: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVvbLwYvFAg Also note this was very basic data overlay and the tach signal is wonky right now because rotary engines are weird. i'm having a hard time getting the G2X to register correct RPM, although my tach works just fine.
another video with 2 cameras F/R, fiddling with PiP, no data: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycf674BwEZo
I'll bring my laptop this weekend and you can fiddle with the full version of the software if you'd like.
A few of my track friends have also used Dashware and say the interface is quite easy to use, but I have no direct experience with it.
Regards,
- Matt

From my experience, The Smarty Cam is the slickest way to get all the data from the Mychron overlayed onto the video. It does it in real-time and not need to fiddle with a laptop and software at the track when you only have 60 or so minutes between sessions.
It is a more expensive option but you get what you pay for.
