Vintage Kart

Hi

If you have an Vintage Kart from the 60's, can you ride it on your track.
If so do you have to be a member or do you rent the track time? Thanks.

John, The GCKI track is for members only, unless it during a race and registered as non-member and under race day insurance. Membership is relatively inexpensive given the privileges, and would recommend joining if you have interest in driving at the track. We have not had vintage karts at our track that I am aware of, but should not be a major issue if some simple rules are adhered to. Given most vintage karts lack the safety bodywork of modern karts, it is not recommended that you drive it on the track with the modern karts. Also full safety gear is required to drive on the track. This includes helmet, race suit, gloves, and neck brace. We also have a strict noise ordinance and karts must have silencers capable of keeping noise below the state mandated 85db at the property boundaries. Hope this helps. Paul

Hi
Thanks for the reply. Looks like it will take a lot of modification to ride the cart at your track.
Currently it has not muffler. No side guards, and not much bumper. Thats the way they were back
then I guess.
