First off, I would like to thank all that participated in our last race and experienced the new facility. The Hard work of Bill and Becky Choice in getting the barriers to protect the racers and facilitate race day kart and traffic flow is much appreciated. It appears all went very well through out the day.

However, after last Sunday’s race, the rains began heavy and the end result was the entire GCKI complex was under water except for the track surface itself. We had 6” of water into the clubhouse, and we have begun to clean it up (Thanks Bill). We appear to have not suffered any major damage as all electrical and equipment is still functional. We lost paper goods and there is still a wait and see on the sheet rock. The A/C and fans have been turned on to facilitate the drying of the building. The septic system will need to be evaluated as it too was under almost a foot of water. There is still considerable water at the perimeter of the property and the ground is very soft. Please use caution if using the track as there may be soft spots or snakes in areas not anticipated. We will work to prepare the property for our next race on May 1st.
